Popular Cheese Over Listeria Contamination Risk

Listeria is a foodborne bacterium known to contaminate chilled, ready-to-eat foods such as soft cheeses, yoghurts, and desserts. Its symptoms can range from fever, muscle aches, chills, nausea, to diarrhoea. In rare but serious cases, it may invade the bloodstream or nervous system, especially in those with pre-existing conditions or compromised immunity.
